Vietnam American Oil Tools JSC (VINAM)

Vietnam American Oil Tools JSC (VINAM) selected Data V Tech as its consulting firm to deploy Epicor ERP (now Kinetic) and multiple other business solutions. Here is the beginning of their story:

In 2018, VINAM acquired one of the largest manufacturing plants in APAC to provide well-completion turnkeys to the oil and gas industry. It specializes in oil and non-oil-and-gas applications with high-precision machining skills.

Previously, VINAM had used Odoo – free, open-source software for production and Misa software for accounting. However, the two systems functioned separately. The disconnection led to duplicate data entries, and inconsistent data flows, so the user could not manage data and promptly make the right decisions.

Another issue was the manual collection, review, and recording of inventory data. The entire process was time-consuming yet did not ensure high-quality data.

Finally, the company contacted Data V Tech for Epicor ERP and another Vietnamese vendor for SAP A1. Considering the two solutions thoroughly, VINAM selected Epicor ERP for its outstanding value and functionalities.

After six months of collaboration and constant hard work, VINAM and Data V Tech brought the system into force.

Notably, the data searching time has declined by 80%. Epicor’s manufacturing execution system (MES) functionality has enhanced communication between the management and the factory, while the more accurate material requirements planning (MRP) engine has enabled more effective decision-making.
